Correct tampering is a basic requirement when preparing espresso. The perfect taste of the espresso depends on this process. During the covering process, oils, fats, flavours and other aromas are extracted from the ground material in the sieve carrier.
The tamper enjoys an often underestimated and extremely important function here and is responsible for the perfect compression of the coffee grounds in the sieve. The more thoroughly you prepare the coffee puck, the better the espresso succeeds and the more beautiful the crema turns out.
The height of the base also makes it easier to check that the Puck is straight when tamped. With our heavy scarlet espresso tamper “Elegante”, which fits very well in the hand and fingers, tampers are fast and clean. The stainless steel tamperbase is precision manufactured with CNC machines. The ergonomically shaped, black coated aluminium handle fits perfectly to the tamperbase and supports the very good handling. The underside of the tamper base is turned to a shiny finish, so that the surface of the coffee puck can be perfectly smoothed at the end by turning it slightly – for perfect espresso results. The tamper is suitable for dishwasher cleaning, the handle can be unscrewed.
With this tamper, developed by Baristas with excellent quality, you acquire a durable tool for espresso preparation that you will not want to miss in the future.
